PUFFED SNAIL WITH CHEESE AND HAM

    Crispy rolls are, well, a very easy baking recipe! To prepare, you will need very few products, and the time will take only 20 minutes. As a snack, a hearty snack, or a light dinner, these puffs are suitable for any occasion. You can also serve them on the holiday table.

 


Ingredients for 8 servings:
- Puff pastry (plain) - 250 gr.
- Ham - 150 gr.
- Hard cheese - 150 gr.
For the grease:
- Eggs - 1 pc.


Step by step cooking:
Cooking Time: 1 hour


   1. Take ready-made dough, usually sold in a store, you will need one sheet, or cut off half of a long roll of dough. Any kind of ham will do, sliced or whole. It is better to take the cheese that melts well.


   2. Grate the cheese on a coarse grater. For this recipe, you can take sliced cheese.


   3. defrost the dough beforehand. It is best to do this gradually, in a refrigerated compartment, so that the dough recovers from freezing. Sprinkle a work surface with flour, put the dough on it. Roll out the dough into a thin layer, about 3 mm thick.


   4. Sprinkle the dough with grated cheese. If you have sliced cheese, spread the cheese slices over the surface of the sheet. Place slices of ham on top. In addition to the ham and cheese you can put chopped bell peppers, tomatoes, any herbs. You can grease the base with mayonnaise or ketchup, it will be juicier, but it will increase the caloric value, take it into account.


   5. Wrap the dough in a roll on the long side. Cut the roll into circles about 1 cm thick. 


   6. Line a baking tray with baking paper. Arrange the snails on the baking tray, leaving a little space between them as the dough will rise slightly. Lightly beat the egg with a fork. Brush the egg on top of the rolls with a pastry brush.


   7. Bake the snails in an oven preheated to 180 ° C for 25-30 minutes. They should be lightly browned on top. Cool slightly and serve at once. Bon appetit!!!
